“Ferrari is huge in Italy” – Charles Leclerc donated SF90, in which he won the 2019 Monza Grand Prix

"Ferrari is huge in Italy" - Charles Leclerc gifted SF90 in which he won the Monza Grand Prix in 2019

“Ferrari is huge in Italy” – Charles Leclerc received a shock present in the form of SF90, the car that he won in Monza at the Italian Grand Prix in 2019 and that Mercedes bravely withheld.

Ferrari made a name for itself by giving F1 cars to its drivers, and this time it was Charles Leclerc who received the bonanza. The car is none other than the SF90, with which he won the 2019 Monza race and fought brilliantly against the Mercedes couple Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas.

“It’s very difficult to find the words to describe what I felt during this race [at Monza]. I was under a lot of pressure – the whole team was under a lot of pressure – because obviously we were in Italy, Ferrari in Italy is huge and everyone wanted us to win, so there was a lot of pressure across the team.

“So the pressure has built up. Then it was something special to be on pole, but then I had to concentrate on the race and in the race I had no room to breathe. I had Lewis the whole race in less than two seconds I think so a lot of pressure.

“And then being on the podium, finally winning the race and seeing the Red Army under the podium was something very special.

“It scared me and made me realize what it’s like to be a Ferrari driver, which of course I noticed a bit before, but I think you really notice it when you win at Monza and see the passion [that] You can really see in people’s eyes – the passion they have for the brand. It’s amazing to see. “

Special deliveries don’t get much better than this …
