“If I had to make a bet I think Lewis will win because I think Mercedes will win in the end. It’s a solid team and they’ve proven it over the years. I think it has all the elements to win, they are the reigning champions and as such they need to be beaten. When I have to choose, I say Lewis because he’s the reigning champion. I hope that they can fight to the end, that the championship stays open, that we have an exciting fight and a fight as close as possible. I always cheer for ourselves! good for sport, to break the status quo. “

Binotto says they have one of the best driver lineups
After the difficult 2020 season, the Italian team finished sixth in the constructors’ championship. After that, Ferrari made major upgrades to bridge the gap with the top teams. The duo of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz has shown impressive results this season, both of which brought the Italian team a total of three podiums and got the best out of the car.
Ferrari team boss Mattia Binotto assumes that the team from Maranello will have the best driver line-up in Formula 1 this season.
“I am convinced that we have the best couple in Formula 1 today,” said Mattia Binotto. “I don’t think that an ‘Arrembante’ and ‘Rational’ is the right definition, Carlos also made mistakes in being an Arrembante, he too wants to be as fast as possible. Charles has great potential, he’s a guy we’ve known for a long time and I think he’s sensible too, he races long distances with his talent, but also with his head, he’s an intelligent driver. “
