With the F1 season ahead, Ferrari leaves no stone unturned when it comes to developing its 2022 car. The F1 heavyweights had already made it clear at the start of the 2021 season that the team had shifted its efforts to developing the 2022 package.
The team is reportedly returning to the drawing board for the 2022 season, taking inspiration from the 2017 and 2018 seasons when it managed to put together a package to challenge the dominant Mercedes cars. Ferrari has added design legend Rory Byrne, who helped Michael Schumacher dominate the grid, to its advisory board; his extensive knowledge of ground effect cars would make a big difference in next year’s development.
Very noteworthy that this reorganization includes a more prominent role for Rory Byrne, chief designer in the Schumacher era, who will mainly focus on the 2022 car
