See the Energica electric motorcycle crash right in front of an Audi.
Since Nico Rosberg left Formula 1 at the end of 2016, he has been very well known in the world of electric vehicles and became famous with his YouTube channel. Rosberg is a shareholder in Formula E, and on his last upload, the 2016 F1 world champion is going to the E-Prix of Monaco, the principality that, thanks to the pandemic, is hosting its first racing events in two years. To get around Monaco, Rosberg took his Energica electric motorcycle, although not everything went according to plan.
Personalized bike bears Rosberg’s name
The bike itself is personalized with Rosberg’s name and logo and he takes us on a small tour of the Monaco Grand Prix circuit, with Formula E using the full layout for the first time in 2021. Rosberg got into minor trouble with the law when he went around the track. As he was walking to Casino Square, a police officer pulled him past and reminded him that motorcycles were not allowed in this area of the principality. But Rosberg used his trick “I’m an F1 driver filming something” and the policeman waved him on and Rosberg set off.
Embarrassing crash occurred at a fairly slow speed

After Rosberg stopped by a friend to pick up his Formula E tickets, he set off and immediately fell off his motorcycle. Cue amusing Face Slapping clip inserted into the video! Rosberg said in a headline, “Riding slowly is not my best skill” as he tried hard not to drop the bike on the ground, but he immediately got stuck under the machine while his shoe came off too! Not his best hour, but one that he received in a very good mood.
Rosberg’s former F1 racing engineer now works in the Mercedes Formula E.

Rosberg then showed us how he competed in Formula E and met his old racing engineer from his Mercedes F1 days, Tony Ross. Ross is now chief engineer in the Mercedes Formula E team and led Rosberg to his world title in 2016 in F1. So it was great for Rosberg to catch up with his old friend. The Monaco Formula E race was certainly exciting and if you haven’t seen it, it’s well worth your time to see it.
