Could Red Bull F1 race in front of home fans after MotoGP confirmed full capacity for Austria?

Good news for motorsport fans: The Red Bull Ring opens its doors to fans of the MotoGP race. The best part is that the circuit authorities open the doors to a crowd at full capacity.

According to reports, the audience restrictions have been lifted at all sporting events in Austria. So the big question is, what does this mean for Formula 1 and Red Bull in particular?

The only restriction is that only people who have been vaccinated can participate. It’s also worth noting that the Austria rounds will become a double headed round as Finland has been removed from the calendar.

In a similar way, Formula 1 also staged a double victory in Austria. Because the French Grand Prix has been brought forward by a week.

In a statement it says: “Dorna Sports is pleased to be able to confirm that both the Michelin Grand Prix of Styria and the Motorcycle Grand Prix of Austria will welcome the fans back to the stands in 2021.

“At sporting events in Austria, the spectator restrictions will be lifted this summer and the gates of the Red Bull Ring will be open to MotoGP fans who have either been vaccinated, tested or have recovered from COVID-19.”

Can Red Bull win the Austrian Grand Prix?

In theory, the home team should have an advantage. In addition, to the delight of the fans, the Austrian team won twice on the track.

They have also done well in the last two races. Especially with Max Verstappen’s victory in Monaco and Sergio Perez’s victory in Azerbaijan.
