The Mercedes F1 team did the first tests with a cordless test pistol at the last race in Abu Dhabi, which we saw in Yas Marina. However, it still needs to be used to its full extent. There is a comprehensive attempt to make the sport sustainable in the longer term. The F1 paddock drives across continents for a calendar year and causes enormous labor and machine costs.

A revolutionary step in Formula 1

An attempt is made to simplify the entire taxation process. The 2022 season will bring big changes to the F1 car. The tire size has increased significantly from the current 13 inches to 18 inches. The process of changing out 18-inch rubbers in a short amount of time can be a tough nut to crack. However, innovation will surely help with that.

The electric screwdrivers in particular are not limited to changing tires, they also help to reduce the use of machines in the pit lane. The machine park currently in use includes four pneumatic screwdrivers complete with cylinders and the lock made of carbon and titanium. The e-Gun will be a logistically sensible alternative to this.

There will be a great simplification since no inverter is needed; the electrical control allows the rotation to be reversed immediately.
