What is your favorite car in different price ranges?

What is your favorite car in different price ranges?

What is your practical and real single garage with the following budget?

BHPian Livnletcarsliv recently shared this with fellow enthusiasts.

What is your practical and real single garage with the following budget?

  • Up to 10Lkahs
  • Up to 30 lakhs
  • Up to 60 lakhs
  • Up to 1 crore
  • About 1 crore

And why?

Here is something BHPian dr_TJ had to say:

My likely cars will be:

Up to 10 lakhs: Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza VXI manual. Why? Because for 10 lakhs I get a Sub 4m SUV with a reliable Maruti Suzuki badge.

Up to 30 lakhs: Isuzu D Max V Cross Z Prestige 4×4 AT. Why? Because I really love this truck and want to buy one right away, but far too little vitamin M.

Up to 60 lakhs: Almost a blank in this price range, I think I would be satisfied with a Mercedes Benz GLA because a sedan is not practical where I live.

Up to 1 Crore: I would definitely get a Land Rover Defender, Defender 90 would be available at this price. Why? Because it’s a fun vehicle

About 1 Crore: If money doesn’t matter, I would definitely want a Mercedes AMG G63 6×6 or 4×4 squared.

And a special mention to my absolute (unreachable) dream car, the Mighty Mclaren F1. The Mercedes CLK GTR follows in second place.

Here is something BHPian SNA411 had to say:

You didn’t say if it was an ex showroom or a street so I’m going to assume an ex showroom.

Up to 10 Lakhs = Mahindra Bolero Neo: Go anywhere (well, further than Monocoques anyway), easy to repair, reliable. (Jimny 4×4 can make an entry in this list)

Up to 30 lakhs = Jeep Compass 4×4. Maybe a XUV700 AWD. Would depend on which of these two would turn out to be more capable in the field. Realistically, I’d just borrow 5 lakhs more from someone and get a Fortuner 4×4 manual.

Up to 60 lakhs = Fortuner 4×4 manual. Why? Like Bolero Neo.

Up to 1 Crore = Still a Fortuner.

Over 1 crore = Land Cruiser 4×4.

I appreciate the ability to go anywhere and the absolute certainty of looks, functions, brand equity and pretty much everything else.

Here is something BHPian Dicky had to say:

Practical garage for one car. Provided the mindset and lifestyle remain the same.

  • Up to 10 lakhs – Altroz D or Freestyle D? Hmm .. Altroz D. Although it would be a breeze if the Ertiga had a diesel.
  • Up to 30 lakhs – sorry, anything between 10-30 lakhs. I am sure that each model is good in its own way. But for a garage for a car? Innova.
  • Up to 60 lakhs – C class or 3? Nope. It would be Camry. Come on, who am I kidding. Practical single car. Present lifestyle. Indian roads / traffic. Fortuner 4×4 MT.
  • Up to 1 Crore – Defender 90 D300? Or the practical 110 D300? Nope. It’s a close battle between the V-Class and Vellfire
  • Over 1 Crore – GLS or X7? Nope. Would be the G350d. Although the answer would have been different if the LC had been sold in India.
