The dangers of motorsport are becoming known again and again. The Moto GP at Silverstone recently had a frightening incident in which Marc Marquez slipped across the track. It was during the British Moto GP free practice session that at the end of which the racer was part of a terrible accident.

Marc Marquez had set the fastest time; End the session on the timesheets. The Spaniard was approaching Maggotts at a rapid 170 mph. His Respol Honda gave way under him; Fortunately, Marquez was quick to react and slipped off the bike. Due to the speed, the racer tumbled across the grass in the form of numerous barrel rolls.

The Ant from Cervera finally stopped and got up to leave. Marquez is no stranger to such dangerous situations and is known for his falls. After two major incidents in Jerez and another in Assen, Marc also lost a possible victory in Austria due to a last-minute crash.

The last time Marquez was afraid of Silverstone was an incident in Jerez. The eight-time champion broke his arm at the 2020 season opener in Spain; off the track by April of this year. He returned to the Portuguese GP but hadn’t expected it.

Marquez once said aptly: “In the tough moments you have to show your potential. In the good moments everyone is happy and smiling and fast, in the hard moments you have to fight. ”On the way back to the two wheels, he showed his intransigence and his will to win. “My style is to try to suffer, to improve and come back. And to enjoy it on a bike. Now I don’t enjoy it, now I suffer. “

The veterans greatly appreciated the legend’s return to the sport. Alberto Puig had said: “Marc’s comeback was more difficult than expected… it’s really amazing. He rides with me, I don’t say with one arm, but with one and a half arms. I think only one person can do that and it is him. “

His arm scared him when Marquez asked if he would have a normal arm again. Holding out the pain, he’s back on track. Fortunately, the barrel rolls at Silverstone did not make his situation worse; the man is clearly made of steel.
