Famed fashion designer Ralph Lauren is perhaps best known for his skills as an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and designer. Under Gear, however, Lauren is also known as one of the world’s most passionate auto collectors, with collections valued at hundreds of millions of dollars.
The collection includes cars from many decades, with models from the 1920s through to Sports car and supercars recently released in recent years. His passion for driving is almost unmatched, and this is evident in some of the exclusive cars he owns. Below are 10 of the craziest cars in Ralph Lauren’s collection.

Bugatti Veyron

Without a doubt, the Bugatti Veyron is one of the fastest cars in Ralph Lauren’s collection. As a man who likes the prestige of owning some of the most exclusive and iconic cars in the world, the Veyron certainly had to show up in his garage.

The Veyron 16.4 was once the fastest car in the world and was powered by an 8-liter W16 with quad turbocharging that developed exactly 1001 hp. Costing $ 1.9 million when it was released, the Veyron is a real head-turner, and its top speed of 257 mph is more than enough to turn your stomach.

Ferrari 250 GTO

When it comes to valuable vehicles and exclusive cars, almost nothing comes close to the elusive Ferrari 250 GTO. Certainly, the king of the car collector’s garage, very few people will be fortunate enough to see one in their life, let alone have one in their car collection.

With currently only 36 copies left, this former racing car has all the license plates of a real collector’s vehicle. It has the looks, the speed, the rarity, and of course, a high price. Currently the 250 GTO is difficult to gauge due to the different nature of each vehicle as they are all made slightly different and are therefore unique. However, the 1963 250 GTO had previously fetched around $ 70 million at auction, but others for a little under $ 50 million.

Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing

Let’s stay with another classic, the 300 SL Gullwing. As the name suggests, this car had the unique property that the doors open upwards instead of outwards, which adds to the appeal of the vehicle.

With a top speed of 130 mph in 1955, the gullwing was definitely fast and shared some of its DNA with racing versions of the same model. But it’s the rarity and these unique doors that give it the adorable character that car collectors like Ralph Lauren love.

McLaren F1 LM

The McLaren F1 is one of the most revered hypercars of all time. Apparently, Mr Lauren didn’t think the F1 was cool enough when he instead opted for the F1 LM Edition, a car with only 6 models produced, including the prototype.

The 6-liter V12 develops 659 hp and enables a top speed of 225 mph. Interestingly, the LM edition is actually slightly slower than the standard F1 in terms of top speed, with the LM reaching 225 mph and the standard F1 reaching 240 mph. The F1 LM was made to commemorate the success of the McLaren F1 GTR at Le Mans.

One of the most iconic Ferraris of all time is without a doubt the Testarossa. It embodies the 80s and was arguably the star of the famous television series Miami Vice.

The heart of the Testarossa is a 12-cylinder mid-engine with 390 hp. The look, sound and general style of the Testarossa make it such a legend in the automotive world. If, like Mr Lauren, you want an ’80s piece for yourself, you would have to pay around $ 150,000 for a copy in great condition. Interestingly, this is one of the cheaper cars in his collection.

Lamborghini Reventón Roadster

One of the more modern supercars on this list is Ralph Lauren’s Lamborghini Reventon Roadster. The Reventon Roadster is already a rare vehicle and contributes something to the exclusivity with an even more limited edition of this already limited car.

With a limited run of 15 cars, the roadster certainly lives up to exclusivity, and the $ 2.1 million price tag certainly makes it very valuable. With an opaque exterior and a carbon fiber body, the Reventon definitely looks. However, most of the parts are borrowed from the previous Murciélago models, including the engine from the LP640.

One of the older cars in Ralph Lauren’s collection is the 1930s SSK Count Trossi. Ralph Lauren is known to be a huge fan of true vintage cars, and the Count Trossi is one of the best examples of motoring from the early 1900s.

One of the most mysterious aspects of this car is that the designer is still unknown to this day. Nonetheless, due to its impeccable appearance, it won the Best of Show at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in 1993 as part of the Ralph Laurens collection.

Porsche 997 GT3 RS

A real gear head knows that Porsche is among the best driver cars available on the market, and the GT3 RS is one of the best examples with its top speed of 193 mph and the large aero package. The 409 horsepower output is also good for a 0-60 mph time of under 4 seconds.

McLaren P1

One of the most modern cars in the collection is the McLaren P1. The P1 is a shining example of contemporary automotive excellence, with insane looks and equally insane performance.

At over 900 horsepower, the P1 dwarfs most other cars with a top speed of 217 mph, not to mention the 0 to 60 mph time under 3 seconds. While Mr. Lauren won’t get quite as fast speeds on the road, the look of the P1 will make most of us jealous of the McLaren’s sleek, sleek design.

Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic

Of all the cars in his collection, Ralph Lauren’s 57SC Atlantic probably has the most history, as if those iconic large wheelhouses and arched roof weren’t enough of a draw.

Nobody doubts the appearance of the 57SC, but the mystery of missing models and tragic incidents with a train crash and fatal injuries to passengers of a model gives the 57SC an additional aura. The styling was also good enough to win the prestigious Best of Show at Pebble Beach in 1990 and Villa d’Este in 2013.
