“In terms of driving behavior,” continues Darren, “we were obviously here with a Vulcan. When you move that around it’s completely out of its window of what it likes to do. That, the Valkyrie, that is very easy!
“It’s really a different level of performance. The age of the automobile world, you have the Ferrari 250 GTO in the 60s, the McLaren F1 in the 90s. That feels very different. It’s extreme and completely bespoke. “
“If we were out testing, you could go out and follow one in a different area of the test site. This is my favorite view, this rear end, you can fully see how small and compact it is. They ask how they possibly got the V12 and gearbox with that underbody aero.
“We’re so close to the end now, customers will have them by the end of the year. They understand the wait and know we had to get it right. There have been a ton of us development drivers who have had the pleasure of driving this car. I look forward to the fact that the people who bought them can drive them. “
