The bright orange G-Power G8M Hurricane RR offers 875 horsepower with a limited top speed of 211 mph
The standard BMW M8 is quite powerful with 616 hp and a time from 0 to 100 km / h of 3.2 seconds – it beats both the Lamborghini Murcielago and the McLaren F1. But if you want your M8 to be one step ahead, then even racy looks and a bucket load more power are the way to go.
Hand it over to G-Power and ask for the Hurricane RR kit, and you get a car with a massive 875 horsepower and 774 lb ft (1050 Nm) of torque. The top speed is 211 miles per hour. A little higher and the tires wouldn’t keep up. G-Power didn’t reveal a 0-62mph time, but we’d expect it to be a few tenths faster than the standard car.
Hurricane packs are always the most powerful kits that G-Power offers. The turbochargers have been upgraded while the intake and exhaust valves are larger. The RR vehicles receive forged pistons, improved cooling, additional reinforcement for the drive train and various connecting rods. These four carbon exhaust pipes, each 110 mm, are connected to a Deeptone exhaust system made of stainless steel.
Forged 21-inch wheels are available in two designs, while new adjustable coilovers ensure a lower stand. Inside you will find new leather and Alcantara upholstery as well as a special numbered badge and a little extra carbon.
The splashy orange paint currently lighting your screen is a hallmark of the Hurricane kits and is offset by carbon fiber trimmings. The most obvious are the new carbon wing and ventilated carbon bonnet, but BMW aficionados will also recognize the extra bits attached to the front bumper.
If 875 hp seems just a little too much, G-Power also offers the Hurricane RS kit. This limits power to a manageable 829 horsepower, despite having the same meteoric torque.
The Hurricane modifications are available for every M8, whether you opt for the coupe, convertible or the four-door Gran Coupe. While prices have not yet been revealed (the company is on vacation at the time of writing), you will need a fairly deep pocket to have an M8 plastered by G-Power. His G5M Hurricane conversion of the BMW M5 cost 115,000 euros (about 100,000 pounds or $ 137,000), not including the donor car.
Do you find 875 hp too much or just right? Give us your thoughts.
