Like the Pagani Zonda R, the Pagani Huayra R is a pure racing car that does not have to meet any regulations in terms of noise and performance. That means the engineers could go nuts, which they did. The result is a super-light, V-12 powered range weapon that sounds like an old Formula 1 car. And no, we are by no means exaggerating.
The Huayra’s exquisite carbon fiber-titanium structure makes it super stiff and super light. It tilts the scales at just 2,315 pounds (1,050 kg). The Huayra R, like all Pagani cars before, uses a version of the The M120 engine of the Mercedes CLK GTR through its partnership with AMG. The 6.0-liter V-12 does not rely on forced induction and spins at 9,000 rpm. It packs 850 hp and 590 pound-feet (800 Nm)which allows a top speed of 238 mph (383 km / h) – 5 mph (98 km / h) more than the Zonda R and a 0 to 60 mph (97 km / h) in under 3.0 seconds.

Even more exciting is the fact The Huayra R directs the power to the rear wheels via a manual six-speed gearbox. This is becoming a trend with hyper-exclusive hypercars, as we see with other vehicles like the Gordon Murray T50 – the spiritual successor to McLaren F1.

With its radical and functional aesthetics, the Pagani Huayra R even makes the Batmobile look like a hippie VW bus in comparison.
