Georges St Pierre is revered around the world for his accomplishments in the Octagon. The UFC legend has many fans around the world and one of them is the McLaren F1 driver, Daniel Ricciardo, who was recently paid a visit by his UFC idol.

Ricciardo is a big MMA fan and has hung out with St Pierre previously. The Canadian fighter was even present at the recently concluded Canadian Grand Prix to showcase his support for the Aussie driver. St-Pierre took to his Instagram to share a picture of himself alongside the 2022 MCL-36.

St-Pierre in his caption cheered on the Aussie driver. He even appeared in the McLaren Unboxed video and expressed his excitement about the event. “I’m here supporting my friend Daniel Ricciardo. It’s a great experience, experience of a lifetime to be here to witness this and I’m very thankful for all the team to receive me as a guest,” said the UFC fighter.

The Aussie driver has previously revealed that, according to him, ‘Rush’ is the GOAT in the UFC. Further, the F1 driver mentioned he learned some MMA moves from the best.

“Georges St Pierre, so he’s coming today. So I’m a massive fan of him and so he’s basically the greatest of all time in the UFC. So yeah, that’s really cool, so he’s gonna come along and teach me a few things. I was actually doing a bit of training with him earlier in the week. So, he taught me how to choke a few people out,” said the McLaren driver.

It is certainly interesting to see the mutual respect between the high-performance athletes. Also, it is nice to see St-Pierre coming to the racetrack in Montreal to support Ricciardo in a crucial period of time.
Hopefully, we will see some training montages between the pair in the future and see what tricks Ricciardo learned from the UFC fighter.
