Jehan Daruvala is one of the most exciting names in Formula 2 currently. The Indian driver finished 7th in last season’s F2 Championship with Carlin Racing. However, things have not gone according to Jehan’s liking so far this year. This might have caused a dent in his hopes of racing in F1 soon.

Daruvala is not letting his recent poor runs impact his long-term goal of racing in Formula 1. The Indian hopes to finish the season on a strong note to impress Formula 1 teams. Coming to F1, some of the mid-table teams seem to have a crisis of their own after the Piastri fiasco.

Daruvala, who wants to take inspiration from Oscar Piastri’s jump to Formula 1, said, “I was coming to this year thinking, Sweet Daddy Boll**ks, Piastri has come off 5 poles, 4 feature race wins, this is my year.”

Hey further adds, “You know this year, I’m gonna be sitting in August, being like about F1 contract handed to me. Now I’m thinking I might be on the couch.”

The 23-year-old has not won an F2 race this year. However, he’ll be looking at Monza to change that where he enjoys an impressive record.

hauger said, “I mean I don’t want to talk sh*t either obviously. I mean obviously yes, as a driver you want to be at the top but it’s not always the case.”

Hey further adds, “No, I think we both (Him and Daruvala) wanted to be at the top from the beginning, but I’m not going into details here.”
