F1 has yet to reveal the tentative calendar for next season, but the British Grand Prix is the first race to receive a publicly known date following an announcement from Silverstone on Friday.
The Formula 1 Grand Prix of Great Britain 2022 is provisionally for 1st-3rd Scheduled for July next year.
It marks a notable change in the date of the race, which took place on July 18 this year, and could potentially open up more space for other events in July.
Silverstone hosted the first F1 race to run at full capacity since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic after the UK government used this year’s race as a public testing event.
Over 140,000 fans attended the race and watched Lewis Hamilton take his eighth home win.

A draft of the 2022 calendar is slated to be released to teams in the coming weeks, but some have already urged caution to avoid using triple headers during the season for fear of the impact on team staff.
The Italian Grand Prix this weekend marks the third of three racing weekends in a row for F1 and thus completes the second triple header of the year. A third is planned towards the end of the season in Mexico, Brazil and Qatar.
McLaren F1 boss Andreas Seidl said the series should “avoid it completely” in 2022, while Haas team boss Gunther Steiner believed that there would be more double heads in the next season.
“I haven’t seen the calendar, and that’s not just what we want to do, but also when the hosts want the races,” said Steiner.
“But in general, everyone knows that triple headers are very demanding on staff, and you can feel that again here. It’s the third race in a row and it’s pretty tough.
“Well, until we have the calendar, I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I think the goal is to have as few triple headers as possible. It will not be common in Formula 1 to have triple headers. “
