Saracens is excited to partner with Castore as the main supplier after our triumphant return to the Gallagher premiere.
Castore has seen unprecedented growth since its inception in 2015 and is starting to revolutionize the premium sportswear market with a unique product offering and exciting partnerships in various sports.
Castore’s partnership portfolio features an impressive lineup from Rangers FC, Wolverhampton Wanderers, McLaren F1, Sydney Roosters, Melbourne Storm to athletes like Adam Peaty, Jos Buttler, Sir Andy Murray and England and Saracen’s own Owen Farrell. Saracens is the newest high-performing professional team to join this line-up and is Castore’s first move to Premiership rugby.
Starting July 1st, Castore will supply the newly promoted men’s, women’s and Mavericks jerseys in a long-term contract that will be their first rugby partnership in the UK, opening up a new audience for Castore to promote his philosophy of Better Never Stops spread.
Castore wants to showcase its authentic, highly technical fabrics and bespoke designs, and leverage the partnership with Saracens and Mavericks to showcase the highest quality sportswear in the world.
The jerseys will be unveiled in late summer to go on sale in the official club shop ahead of the 2021/22 season.
Lucy Wray, CEO of Saracens, is excited to welcome Castore to the club for the next five years.
“We are delighted to be starting a new chapter with Castore and look forward to welcoming her into the Saracens family.
“Castore is at the forefront of innovation with their sportswear and our values match very well, so we are very excited to be at the beginning of a groundbreaking partnership.
“We look forward to unveiling the kits this summer, which are sure to be very popular with our fans.”
Tom Beahon, Founder of Castore, said: “We are delighted to be working with Saracens, a legendary English club known and respected around the world. This is our first step into English rugby and we are very proud to start the journey with such a successful team and a passionate fan base.
“Together with the most successful women’s teams of our generation, they perfectly embody the Better Never Stops ethos and their tireless will to perform and win makes them perfect for Castore.”
Castore – with the slogan “Better Never Stops” – was founded in 2015 by the sporty brothers Tom and Phil Beahon. It develops highly innovative sportswear made from patented fabrics and advanced technical technology for fitness studios, athletics, tennis and golf.
It has ambitious plans to take on global sportswear giants like Adidas and Nike, particularly in top-flight football in the UK and Europe.
The company operates a digital direct-to-consumer business model that has allowed it to grow extremely quickly since its inception and avoids the much-noticed challenges of many traditional brands from brick-and-mortar retail and is now sold in over 90 countries worldwide.
Behind Castore is a consortium of top-class private investors. This includes a billionaire family who invested in January to help Castore enter the global soccer market, where the brand believes there is a chance to disrupt the established players at the highest levels of the sport.
Castore expects to partner with five leading clubs across Europe for the 2022/2023 season, leveraging his digital expertise and technical engineering skills to develop products that improve player performance and increase club revenue from branded items.
