McLaren has two rising stars in its ranks, Lando Norris and Pato O’ward. Lando Norris has made a name for himself at the forefront of motorsport and has expressed his willingness to become future world champion, while Mexican Pato O’ward has taken the IndyCar series by storm.

Both Young Guns are under the leadership of McLaren CEO Zak Brown. But there is a massive difference in their salaries and how much they make. O’Ward makes around $ 2 million a year, Norris makes almost five times the IndyCar star.
Norris made his Formula 1 debut at the beginning of the 2019 season and was slowly making a name for himself. When he signed his new contract with the Woking team, Norris positioned himself as one of the best drivers on the grid.

As reported by Express.co.uk, the young Brit earns around $ 9 million, including additional bonuses. That number makes the McLaren driver one of the highest-paid drivers in the sport.

It would be cool to see Pato in a Formula 1 car anyway: Lando Norris
As reported by Formula1.com, Pato O’Ward will drive the 2021 McLaren in the Abu Dhabi Young Driver Test. Brown had promised the young Mexican a ride in the F1 car if he was to win a race in IndyCar.

Norris also commented on the opportunity to see Pato drive the McLaren in Abu Dhabi. “Of course it would be cool to see Pato in a Formula 1 car anyway, and I wish you and the American side” [of McLaren] All the best trying to win some races and so on, ”said Norris.

“It would be cool to see someone jump from an IndyCar into Formula 1 and see the differences. I’m sure some things are maybe easier and some things are much more difficult and very different so it would be cool, ”said the McLaren driver.

We’d love to see Norris and O’Ward compete in the same category and compete against each other. Hopefully the Mexican will make it into F1 after his test in Abu Dhabi.
