Newport, Rhode Island, September 24, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Audrain Newport Concours & Motor Week 2021 is just a week away from September 30 through October 3. The beautiful and idyllic avenues of Newport, RI are being transformed into the home base for a fantastic and lavish celebration of automotive excellence, luxury and sport. Audrain and the City of Newport will roll out the welcome mat to car enthusiasts from around the world to an impressive selection of classic cars that are rarely seen in public.
The four-day event features educational seminars, a black tie gala, elegant lawn parties and of course the internationally recognized Concours d’Elegance, to name just a few luxury automotive and lifestyle events.
WHAT’S IN THE MOTOR WEEK?
Thursday September 30th, the Concours Village, presented by Parker Construction, in the International Tennis Hall of Fame will open its gates to the public on all four days and will also include an area for families to relax courtesy of BankNewport. Audrain seminars begin the festivities on Thursday lunchtime and continue throughout the week with notable celebrity hosts including Jay Leno, McLaren F1 CEO Zak Brown and Jay Ward of Pixar Animation Studios. The day ends with two luxury gatherings – Wine By The Water at Forty 1 North in Downtown Newport and Hilltop Hangout, a private cocktail and cigar party at the Hilltop Inn on Kay Street.
Friday October 1st, Audrain’s seminars continue in the morning and the day’s event, The Gathering, an upscale lawn party, will be held in Rough Point. The day’s events are rounded off by the Hilltop Hangout, followed by the fast-paced action of the Bonhams auction in the evening in the Concours Village.
Saturday October 2nd, starts bright and early with the Audrain Tour d’Elegance, followed by an Audrain staple: Cars & Coffee to round off the morning. Bellevue Car Display will take over Bellevue Avenue as some of the most impressive cars in the world march to their public parking spaces. At the end of another fun day, Audrain’s annual fundraising gala will continue late into the night with live entertainment from Kenny Loggins.
Sunday 3rd October, begins at dawn with the crown jewel of Motor Week, the popular Audrain Newport Concours d’Elegance. The Concours takes place at The Breakers mansion and at the end of the day a handful of cars considered to be the most impressive in their class will receive prestigious class awards.
