  • Dozens of new cars will be driving to Goodwood’s Fetival of Speed this weekend
  • Aston Martin brings crazy Valkyrie hypercar
  • Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae, Lotus Emira and Toyota GR 86 make dynamic debuts

The Goodwood Festival of Speed 2021 finally starts tomorrow, Thursday, July 8th, at 6 p.m. local time.

It is the first time in two years that a multitude of cars and motorcycles are driving to the celebrated hill climb since the FOS was canceled last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Many manufacturers are therefore looking forward to presenting new models during the four-day car festival.

So we figured we’d put together a list of the new cars that will debut at the Goodwood FOS this weekend.

Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA and GTAm

The Turin-based automaker will board its most powerful sedan of all time at the FOS this weekend and showcase the GTA and GTAm super sedan. Everyone should enjoy these cars for as long as they can because Alfa’s parent company Stellantis decided to kill the Giorgio platform (which the Giulia is based on) despite the multi-billion dollar cost of the trick architecture and relative youth.

Alpina B 8 Gran Coupé

16

Alpina B8 Gran Coupé

The legendary BMW tuner Alpina will appear at the FOS with its latest creation, the thundering B8 Gran Coupé. The double-charged 4.4-liter V8 is sure to sound incredible, and at 457 kW and 800 Nm, it will likely be pretty fast too.

Aston Martin Valkyrie

16

Aston Martin Valkyrie, Vantage F1 and Speedster

The Gaydon outfit plans a brilliant attack on the senses of the festival goers. Not only will there be a growling V8 from the newly released Vantage F1 Edition, but two V12-powered Astons will also take to the track. The Speedster will be excellent, and the Valkyrie could be the best sounding car at the event.

BMW i4, iX and 2 series

BMW’s attack on Goodwood will include both internal combustion and electric vehicles, with the Munich-based company showing off its electric i4 Gran Coupe and iX SUV, as well as its new compact G42 2-series sports coupe.

Ferrari SF 90 Spider

Ferrari SF90 Spider

The Prancing Horse presents the drop-top version of its powerful SF90 Stradale. The SF90 Spider has the looks, but will it have what it takes to climb the mountain faster than the rest of its supercar class? With 735kW that is definitely out of the question.

News 2022 Genesis G 70 Kombi Genesis G 70 Shooting Brake 4

Genesis G70 Shooting Brake

Confirmed for Australia, the Genesis G70 Shooting Brake will definitely not be the fastest thing on four wheels at the festival, but we’re assuming the good-looking car could pull multiple burnouts and runners.

Kia EV6 GT and Stinger GT420

Kia will be amazed when it rocks Goodwood and brings out its brand new EV6 electric crossover. The Avantgarde EV will impress the masses with its impressive aesthetics, and considering that the top-of-the-line GT can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.5 seconds, it may surprise more than a few. ICE fans shouldn’t worry either, as the Korean automaker is bringing a heavily modified version of its Stinger GT called the GT420.

Aventador Roadster 004

16

Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Latest

The final hurray from Raging Bull’s flagship V12, the Aventador, will make its dynamic debut this weekend at Goodwood House.

The Aventador LP 780-4 combines the power of the mighty SVJ with the looks and mannerisms of the more street-oriented Aventador S. Expect a sound like no other.

2022 Land Rover Defender V8

16

Land Rover Defender V8

With a killer look and off-road capability, the new Defender is a huge hit for Land Rover. The addition of a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine slid under the hood of the boxy SUV has always been a heady proposition, so it makes perfect sense that JLR would want fans to hear the rumble of the new Defender V8 at Goodwood Listen.

2022 Lotus Emira unveils Australia 3

16

Lotus Emira

British sports car maker Lotus will be showcasing its simply beautiful Emira this weekend at Goodwood, and we can’t wait to see him in action. The Emira promises to be a turning point for the Hethel company, just as the Elise was almost three decades ago.

It is scheduled to arrive on the Australian coast in the middle of next year.

Maserati’s MC20 supercar with a carbon tubbed wants to prove that the Trident brand still has what it takes to make it into the upper echelons of supercar manufacturers in this weekend’s hill climb.

Mini’s interpretation of a fully electric John Cooper Works GP: The pacesetter will silently sprint up the 1.86 kilometer long hill this weekend. The aptly named pacesetter was the Formula E Safety Car this year, and it will be interesting to see how the Mini does.

Pininfarina Battista is a 1400 kW electric hypercar.

16

Pininfarina Battista

The Italian design house and bodybuilder Pininfarina will present its beautiful electric hypercar Battista this weekend. With the chassis ripped straight out of Rimac’s Nevera, the Battista will undoubtedly be one of the fastest cars to compete in the motorsport event.

SCG 004 S.

16

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus SCG 004S

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus will arrive in Goodwood to prove that Americans can build a Ferrari too. The thinly veiled racing car has a three-way driving position like a McLaren F1, a massive V8 with 478 kW and a six-speed manual transmission.

Toyota Gr 86

16

Toyota GR 86

Now serviced by the Japanese brand’s Gazoo Racing outfit, the GR 86 represents the latest collaborative effort between Toyota and Subaru and will almost certainly spend some, if not all of its time this weekend walking sideways. At least better – that’s what a lightweight rear-wheel drive sports car equipped with LSD is built for.
