McLaren welcomes the Miami Grand Prix with a GTA themed sponsor with Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris as F1 declared the race in 2022.
Formula 1 announced on Sunday that the United States of America would organize two different races in 2022. One would be the current race in Austin and the other would be in Miami from 2022.
According to F1, the track will be 5.41 km long, have 19 corners, three straights and the potential for three DRS overtaking zones. Hard Rock Stadium is home to the NFL’s Miami Dolphins and will be “at the heart of the circuit.”
“We are pleased to announce that Formula 1 will be racing in Miami from 2022,” said Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1.
“The US is an important growth market for us and we are very encouraged by our growing reach in the US, which will continue to support this exciting second race.”
“We will be working closely with the Hard Rock Stadium team and the FIA to ensure the track delivers sensational racing but also makes a positive and lasting contribution to the people of the local community.”
“We are grateful to our fans and the Miami Gardens elected officials and the local tourism industry for their patience and support throughout this process. We look forward to bringing the world’s greatest racing spectacle to Miami for the first time in the history of our sport. “
