According to some of the latest rumors, something new and exciting is brewing at McLaren headquarters. Recently, a select number of journalists received an invitation to the McLaren Technology Center (MTC) in Woking. However, it appears that everyone has been pledged to maintain secrecy and the information is hermetically sealed.

F1 journalist Jon Noble said, “Went to a real real-life media event today at McLaren. The contents of this are strictly forbidden for the time being, so the lips are sealed … but something very, very exciting is coming. I can’t say more (for now) ”.

What could McLaren be teasing the fans?
There have been innumerable guesses about the automotive giant’s best-kept secret. This ranged from a new mobile home to a new car to a possible entry into a new racing series. There were even a few jokes that the Woking roster could have signed Rich Energy as a new sponsor.

Seriously, some have suggested that McLaren could join a team in WEC or Formula E. With hypercars like the Speedtail and the Senna, the British automobile manufacturer could enter the endurance racing series. In the meantime, Formula E is enjoying growing popularity, especially among manufacturers.

The fully electric racing series has already attracted the four major German manufacturers – Audi, BMW, Mercedes and Porsche. Other manufacturers are Jaguar, DS, Nissan and Mahindra.
So it wouldn’t be out of the question to see McLaren throw his hat into the ring. When Audi and BMW leave the series in the next season, several new opportunities will open up. The UK company could either join an existing team or join as a standalone team.
At the moment, fans just have to wait until Sunday until everything is clear. In addition, the McLaren Formula 1 team is looking forward to the race in Monte Carlo next weekend. The team knows the street circuit will be difficult, but their new recruit, Daniel Ricciardo, has hit the track before and will certainly hope to do it again.
