Motorsport giant McLaren Racing has teamed up with Tezos (CRYPTO: XTZ) to launch a non-fungible token (NFT) blockchain platform for its fans.
What happened: According to an announcement shared with Benzinga on Thursday, Tezos will become the official blockchain partner of McLaren Racing in a technical partnership in Formula 1, INDYCAR and esports.
Tezos will appear on the McLaren Formula 1 and Arrow McLaren SP teams, including the racing suits of McLaren F1 drivers Lando Norris and Daniel Riccardo, and AMSP drivers Pato O’Ward and Felix Rosenqvist.

Lindsey Eckhouse, director of licensing, e-commerce and esports at McLaren Racing, said the Tezos blockchain would host NFTs with the Formula 1, INDYCAR and esports teams at McLaren Sports.
Price action: According to CoinMarketCap data, the price of Tezos rose 5.02% and was trading at $ 3.32 at press time.
