McLaren Racing today announced a new licensing partnership with the performance eyewear brand SunGod, through which SunGod will be the official licensee for McLaren F1 Fan Eyewear from the 2021 Formula 1 season.
To celebrate the partnership, SunGod will release a limited edition McLaren Racing model of its Renegades and Sierras sunglasses for the 2021 season. Later that summer, SunGod will also be launching lines of glasses featuring McLaren F1 drivers, Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo.
The partnership is a union of the two British brands in their three core values of innovation, community and sustainability. SunGod’s pioneering approach to making better and more sustainable eyewear has revolutionized the industry from the start as its social and environmental performance is at the highest level . The new variants of the Sierras and Renegades that were released as part of the launch will be available with Fire and Smoke lenses. Everyone will be using their world-class 8KO lens technology – a new, higher quality nylon-based lens material that results in a lighter lens and higher optical precision compared to the industry standard polycarbonate.
