McLaren Racing and Logitech G, a brand owned by Logitech (SIX: LOGN) (NASDAQ: LOGI) and leading innovator of gaming technologies, today announced a new look for the G Challenge Eracing competition to appeal to racers and racing fans around the world To inspire the world.
For motorsport enthusiasts and amateur drivers, the official 2021 racing season of the Logitech McLaren G Challenge begins on July 1st with several newcomers and challenges. The tournament will be expanded to include three divisions: Open Wheel; Storage trolley; and sports car racing. In this fourth year, the G Challenge will be played in the games iRacing and Assetto Corsa Competizione and will culminate with the grand finale on January 15, 2022 in Las Vegas, NV.
This year’s winners of the three divisions of the Logitech McLaren G Challenge 2021 will receive a four-day trip to London at no cost, a behind-the-scenes look at the McLaren Technology Center, coaching with McLaren F1 driver Lando Norris and a VIP experience at the Formula 1 Grand -Prix of Great Britain 2022.
To celebrate this year’s new look, Logitech G and McLaren are holding a Pro-Am Celebrity Race on July 7th, where celebrities form two teams that compete in a stock car and an open wheel race. American racing driver William Byron and McLaren Formula 1 driver Lando Norris will be the captain and draftsman of their respective teams. Other celebrities include rapper, singer and songwriter A $ AP Ferg, Arrow McLaren SP racing driver, Felix Rosenqvist, American racing driver and NASCAR pit reporter, Parker Kligerman and Indianapolis 500 champion from Brazil, Tony Kanaan.
Registration for the online qualifiers for the Logitech McLaren G Challenge 2021 is now open at LogitechGChallenge.com.
