It was nine years since McLaren won Formula One, but Daniel Ricciardo broke that cycle of fate this September. To celebrate the victory, the company’s MSO department designed a special 720S.
The sports car has an immediately recognizable paint job in orange and blue – McLaren’s F1 colors. The flag of Australia refers to the fact that Ricciardo is Australian and all three vehicles are sold in that country alone.
Power wasn’t mentioned, so we’re assuming the 720S will continue to rely on its stock V8 with 720 hp (710 hp / 529 kW) and 770 Nm (568 lb-ft) of torque. It takes 2.9 seconds to reach 100 km / h (62 mph) and its top speed is 340 km / h (211 mph).
