In recent races, Lando Norris has received a lot of praise for his remarkable performance. The young Brit is fourth in the championship behind Valtteri Bottas, Max Verstappen and championship leader Lewis Hamilton. Suffice it to say that there have also been some talks that Norris could be the next Hamilton. Against this background, McLaren team boss Andreas Seidl spoke about the comparisons.

He said, “It’s something… I really admire when I look at Lewis how he manages to do it year after year. Even if you have a car that may not be the best, or in a difficult race and then hit back and still score important points for the championship, that makes all the difference in the end.
“It’s about consistency and performance.”

McLaren boss Andreas Seidl rightly praises Hamilton
In all honesty, it’s hard to believe that Hamilton didn’t have the best car on the grid even in his career. At first glance, he has only driven for two teams so far, McLaren and Mercedes. In his debut year and his championship year, McLaren were obviously the team to beat.
However, that changed from 2009 when the Woking outfit began to struggle. Nonetheless, he was able to record victories until 2012, his final year at McLaren.

He joined Mercedes in 2013 when his star rose. During this time, however, Red Bull and Sebastian Vettel were the favorites. As of 2014, the Brit could no longer be prevented from winning seven championships. Now is the chance that a new star in the form of young Lando Norris will emerge.

In essence, the McLaren driver will look up to Hamilton for inspiration. As a multiple world champion, Lewis Hamilton will definitely be a role model for many young British drivers. In addition to Norris, there are drivers like George Russell who are also looking to Hamilton for advice.
At the moment everyone is focused on this weekend’s race in Monte Carlo. To be honest, this is a difficult route as it is a road lap so there are few opportunities to overtake.
