BRIT F1 ace Lando Norris, 21, stole his £ 40,000 watch at Wembley when fans rioted.

Wembley found itself in a war zone at the Euro final – when 2,500 drunken thugs stormed the stadium without a ticket.

Scared families called safety a mess for the flagship event, with fighting erupting around the floor.

Britain’s F1 ace Lando Norris was mugged for his £ 40,000 watch after playing with Italy – England’s biggest since 1966.

Gambling families got involved in skirmishes, children cried, a female security guard was trampled on and an accessible entrance was stormed.

Last night, the FA, which owns Wembley Stadium, was asked to tighten security as it was feared that bidding to host future World Cups would harm.

Shortly before the kick-off on Sunday evening, drunken hooligans streamed through barriers and caused chaos.

Fans who paid £ 900 and more for tickets then found young people in their seats refusing to move.

Friends and families of stars, including Captain Harry Kane, John Stones, Raheem Sterling and Harry Maguire, also saw trouble when dozens stormed their department.

A source said: “All the players had their children in there. It was terrifying. The women, friends and children all cried. There were a couple of fights.

“None of the relatives or friends had seen anything like this before. They arrived to find seats taken by fans without tickets. And they were rude and very aggressive.

“It got really nasty and was very angry. There weren’t enough stewards and no police in sight. “

Rugby star Mike Tindall, 42, and his royal wife Zara, 40, saw two men fight near their seats – so the burly world champion stepped in. A fan suffered a broken nose while Princess Anne’s daughter Zara wiped blood from her seat with a handkerchief.

A source said: “At least one of the fans didn’t have a ticket. Mike tried to end the fight. “

After the game, racing ace Lando was ambushed by boys when he got into his £ 165,000 McLaren GT supercar. Then one grabbed it while another demolished his prototype Richard Mille watch.

An eyewitness told The Sun: “Lando was arrested and another robber pulled his watch off in a split second. Lando looked pretty upset. Security had been a nightmare all night. “

He had previously posted a photo of himself playing the game for his 3.4 million online followers. A spokesman for his McLaren team said he was “understandably shaken”.

Security sources estimate that thousands broke in without tickets.

One said: “Analysis of video shows that around 2,500 young people rush in without tickets. But the fact is, the stadium is not being monitored because Wembley is not paying the bill for it. Security is left to poorly paid stewards and they have been completely overrun. Serious questions need to be asked. ”

Thugs spread pictures of game tickets and Covid-negative test barcodes before kick-off in order to trick and overwhelm the staff.

After passing Covid screens, they gathered in large groups, stormed over barriers, and pushed aside anyone who got in their way.

A video shows scores climbing through the entrance and sprinting to the entrance as a steward woman falls to the ground screaming.

Another obtained from the Sun shows disabled access doors being breached by dozens of male and female gate crashers.

A man was also seen being repeatedly kicked in the head and body after falling to the ground.

At some point a frustrated fan turns to the standing stewards and yells: “Do your damn job!”

Ex-soccer player Lee Ebden, 37, now a consultant, took his 66-year-old father John to the game and paid more than £ 800 each.

But they were shocked to see mobs storm a handicapped accessible entrance, and then found groups of no-ticket fans all around them.

Lee from Macclesfield said, “I’ve never been as scared or ashamed as I was at Wembley on what was actually a great night. The stewards and police completely lost control – to call it a terrible mess is a complete understatement. As I was walking through the turnstile, a guy in an English shirt was trying to squeeze into me. They all did. “

Tory MP Alec Shelbrooke warned of the impact on future tournaments. He said: “Fifa will be watching these scenes carefully and will take a very grim perspective. I hope that those who instigated it will be hit with the full force of the law. “

The Met Police reported at least 86 arrests in London, including 53 at Wembley Stadium, for ABH, drunk and disorderly behavior and property damage.

In total, there were over 130 arrests during the tournament.

Nineteen officers were also injured, with Police Association Chairman Ken Marsh calling the scenes “national disgrace”.

Boris Johnson spokesman said: “These scenes were unacceptable and we strongly condemn violence, antisocial behavior and abuse.”

The FA said it would do a full review and apologized to law-abiding fans for the “unprecedented level of public disorder”. The Met promised to “actively pursue and investigate perpetrators”.

The final was a dangerous experience

ENGLAND has a new generation of supporters – drunk on lager, crazy about cocaine and ready to unleash maximum violence.

What I saw on Wembley Way was like a trip back to the brawl that followed English teams at tournaments in the 1980s.

The introduction of bottles and cans. Jump on vans and stalls and try to break down roofs.

Then, finally and shamefully, the storming of the stadium gates, which puts thousands of fans with decent tickets at risk.

After hundreds of games at home and abroad, this has been one of the most dangerous experiences I’ve had in football.

At 1 p.m., seven hours before kick-off, people on Wembley Way risked their safety.

The intersection at BoxPark was the first danger zone. Thousands were crammed there, and almost all of them thought it was funny to send rockets through the air with bottles and half-full bearing cans to see if they could topple an unsuspecting soul.

How they laughed, those idiots who climb lampposts, light them and throw torches.

At 3 p.m. I saw thugs sniffing cocaine. Dozens of bottles and cans hissed through the air. Fighting broke out in back streets. Families crouched and hurried by.

Up by the stadium, thousands drank, threw and partied as others were hit.

The gates opened and all hell broke out. The disabled area in the stadium suddenly filled with aggressive idiots. The players were pushed from their seats.

My memories of the greatest day in English football history in 55 years? Six hours outside full of threats, broken glass, bloody corpses, fear among the fans. Four hours in contested stewards and frightened families.

And a relief that no real tragedy had befallen us.
