McLaren CEO announces the end after eight years

It’s the end of an era at McLaren. After nearly a decade, Mike Flewitt is stepping down from his role as CEO of the company. Flewitt joined McLaren in June 2012 as Chief Operating Officer before being promoted to Chief Executive Officer in July 2013. McLaren hasn’t announced who will replace Flewitt, but the automaker is currently looking for its successor.

It will be interesting to see who takes responsibility for McLaren, but before that happens, Michael Macht, a McLaren Group non-executive director, will oversee the technical and operational functions while Executive Chairman Paul Walsh oversees sales, marketing and PR will be responsible.
