In recent years, Formula 1 has achieved immense popularity around the world, including celebrities from Hollywood. After the cameos of Vin Diesel and Khaby Lame in Monza, McLaren and their driver Daniel Ricciardo have recently welcomed a celebrity.

The McLaren Technology Center in Woking had a guest to speak on Wednesday; Dax Shepard.
The American actor / podcast host visited McLaren headquarters with Italian GP winner Ricciardo and his manager Blake Friend as tour guides.

Dax Shepard’s visit to McLaren
After touring the headquarters, Shepard used social media to share his experience with the Formula 1 team in the UK. He uploaded pictures of himself posing next to championship cars, including racing cars with closed cockpits.

“What a day. Thanks Daniel Ricciardo, McLaren and my side piece Blake. I’m a happy motherf ** ker,” he captioned.
Soon Ricciardo was also commenting on the post, reckoning that he hopes to meet Shepard soon on the track. “Next stop, racetrack,” replied the former Red Bull driver.
Who is Shepard and is he a fan of Daniel Ricciardo?
Shepard is a fairly well-known face in the film industry, popularly known for his role in The Judge, which was also nominated for an Academy Award in 2014. Aside from movies, Shepard also hosted the 2020 edition of Top Gear America.
The American also owns and moderates a podcast called Armchair Expert, which helped him to be nominated as “Top Podcast of the Year” at the People’s Choice Award 2020.
Interestingly, while Shepard enjoys Formula One racing, his wife Kristen Bell, known for her starring role in the television series “The Good Place,” doesn’t like the sport.

In one of her recent Instagram stories, she curled up in her quilt late at night while Shepard was busy watching a Grand Prix. She wrote: “It’s 12.30pm… But it’s 11.30am at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, and my husband is also with Daniel Ricciardo. So can’t turn it off. “

Overall, Formula 1 is indeed gaining popularity, and there’s no denying that even more such celebrities will make a cameo or two in the upcoming Grand Prix weekends. But the question is, will this positive trend for Formula 1 continue in the long term?
