
At the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Lando Norris had a great race that resulted in a podium. While Max Verstappen won the race, Lewis Hamilton was second and Norris third. This was Norris’ second career podium after his first in Austria in the 2020 season.

After the race, Norris revealed what he had told Hamilton at Parc Ferme. He said, “I’ve tried, I’ve tried! I tried to hold you off, Lewis. I’ve tried, I’ve tried ”. Needless to say, the younger Brit really fought with all his might to fend off Hamilton. Without a doubt, Norris’ star is rising rapidly and he is helping McLaren return to the front lines.

How did Lando Norris do on the podium?
After Hamilton slipped off the track and freed himself, he was a man on a mission. He fought his way back from ninth place until he reached the Ferrari duo of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. Lando Norris in the McLaren was just ahead of the Prancing Horses in second place and was preparing for a career-best result.

Granted, the Ferrari guys fought Hamilton well for a couple of laps. However, the superior Silver Arrow was finally able to send them. That gave Norris enough time to build up his own defense against his compatriot. All it took Hamilton was a few laps before Norris was behind him.
Unfortunately, Lewis Hamilton didn’t have enough time to catch race director Max Verstappen. The defending champion had to be content with second place. Of course, Norris couldn’t rest a year because he still had a double horse attack behind him. In the end, he was able to fend off the relentless attack by Leclerc and his former teammate Sainz. Still, Lando Norris deserved to be on the podium at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
