“My commitment to McLaren is clear: my goal is to win races and become Formula 1 world champion, and that’s what I want to achieve with this team. Since joining in 2017, we have consistently developed further and have clear common ambitions for the future. “
Norris thanked the chief executive officer Zak Brown and team boss Andreas Seidl for the conviction they both showed during their time on the team and he wants to share more magical moments with them in the years to come.
“I would like to thank Zak and Andreas for the trust they have placed in me from the start and the entire team for giving me such a strong environment in which to continue my career,” he said .
“We already had some incredible moments together that I will never forget – two podiums and third place in the championship – and together with Daniel [Ricciardo] and the rest of the team, I look forward to having even more success in the years to come. “

Like him, we have great ambitions for our future together and I am delighted that we are continuing on this path for both Lando and the team.
“In Lando and Daniel, we have an extremely talented and exciting line-up, and this announcement is a strong signal of commitment to the next chapter for McLaren from 2022.”
