The popular story about the relationship between Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo is one of hatred. Before the Dutch GP, however, Norris shattered that speculation by explaining his growing bond with the Aussie.

A young fan asked Norris to rate his teammate. Norris jokes about Daniel’s age, which in reality plays a big role in the different interests. The Brit explains: “He’s into wine and that sort of thing, so that’s where he’s got in his life. He is [very old], Mid thirties.”

After laughing at the age difference, Norris said he met Ricciardo. “He’s a great guy and we get along well and get to know each other better and better at this point in the season,” and would like to do the same in the years to come.
Nonetheless, Norris sees Ricciardo as someone he can learn a lot from; his decades of experience on the track has a lot to offer. “He’s one of the greatest drivers we’ve seen in Formula One and he has a lot of great things about him. So there are a lot of things that I can learn and take with me and use to become a better driver. “
Lando is hoping for his Australian partner to learn things on and off the track, but shares a very important lesson in Ricciardo’s determination.

Lando Norris went on to praise Daniel. However, Norris revealed his insight into Ricciardo’s struggles this season and that there is a lesson in there as well.

Norris shared his understanding of Daniel off-camera. “Maybe people don’t necessarily see from boards or cameras or from TV, but the dates and details he puts in, his engineers and things and how hard he has worked to make improvements since the start of the season. All attributes for a man who could win seven races. ”
As a solid driver on and off the track, it’s easy to see how the McLaren duo get involved. After a difficult race in Holland, McLaren lost his P3 championship title; one to fight hard for at Ferrari’s home ground in Monza.
