Lando Norris brings up the excruciating F1 rule he previously protested amid the Verstappen-Hamilton drama

After a season of drama and excitement, no F1 fan, driver or team member can say it wasn’t one of the most exciting seasons in the history of the sport. Understandably, there are complaints and complaints, because rules that ultimately favor one are torture for the other. And for McLaren driver Lando Norris a rule was full of torture.

The rule in this conversation applies to pit stops when the flag is red.

Although Norris had previously expressed his thoughts on this rule with brutal honesty, now that the dust has settled over the season, he has made his demeanor more calm and eloquent.

Norris said: “I don’t think the current rules are correct. Fans like it because it gives the drivers wins or podiums that they honestly don’t deserve. These results do not come because you drive well or badly, but only because you were lucky or unlucky. “

He added that he hopes something will be done no matter who wins or loses because of the change.

Commenting on the change he would make or propose, the Briton said: “I think if we drive on slick tires there still has to be the mandatory pit stop and that means we have to use two different types of tires.”

“With the red flag you can change the tires, but then you have to stop in the pits during the race.”

What did Lando Norris say about this rule earlier?

“Too many discussions, we have to change that. You should give me access to the rulebook, the official PDF. I’ll hit edit and just delete it. Select, right-click, delete ”- that is what Norris suggested about this rule after the race in Saudi Arabia.

The McLaren driver was quite annoyed in the post-race interviews about the rule that cost him a good finish.

“It sucks because the team did a good job. I thought the car was pretty decent, but this crap rule ruins everything.”

At the moment, Lando Norris’ appeal against this rule is unlikely to result in a change by the FIA; mainly because they are dealing with a bigger problem.
