When Daniel Ricciardo joined McLaren, everyone expected him to be the real star of the team. So far, his teammate Lando Norris has stolen the show.

His form has been so good that he seems to have the confidence to compete against the bigwigs of the sport. He is in 4th place in the 2021 overall standings after being the epitome of consistency mixed with intelligent racing car and raw speed in the opening laps.
Since success in F1 depends on the car, Lando believes he can fight for the biggest prize if he gets the right one.

“I just have the feeling that my performance this season is at a level that is capable of winning races and maybe one day a world championship,” proclaimed Norris.

But to win the championship he currently has to beat the two biggest names in F1, Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton.
However, he is not overwhelmed by the prospect of facing them. In fact, he believes he can lead these two to sleepless nights.
“I’m at a level where I would say I could go up against Lewis or Max and – I have to be careful how I say it, not say I could beat them 100 percent – but I could give them a run give their money and i might well try. “

Lando Norris feels right at the top of his game in dry or wet conditions
In dry conditions in Bahrain, he crossed the checkered flag in fourth. On the other hand, when it rained in Imola, he posted an unlikely podium.
Even getting his more seasoned McLaren teammate to swallow his pride. So it is only appropriate that he feel like the man for all seasons.

“With the feeling that I’ve done well so far this season, I have the feeling that if I’ve been in a car and can win the race, I could. Whether it’s wet or dry, I have the feeling that I’m driving very well at the moment.
“I feel at the top of my game, doing a lot of things right and making myself proud in many ways,” said Norris.

And why shouldn’t he be proud of himself? After all, he surpassed his more famous 7-time teammate who won the race.
