Here’s What To Expect From The Jesko Absolut: The Fastest Ever Koenigsegg

The Rear View On The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut.

There’s that one Swedish maker of high-performance sports cars that we like to write about whenever we get a chance or a good reason to do so. Our fascination with Koenigsegg probably doesn’t surprise you, considering the brand has been around for many years and produced some of the fastest rides up to date.

Although Koenigsegg’s start was modest back in 1994, this Swedish automaker always had a clear goal it aims at — the production of the greatest sports cars in the world. The results didn’t arrive overnight, but Koenigsegg definitely had his dream come true.

Upon the very launch of the first Koenigsegg vehicles, the public went wild for them. In 2002, Koenigsegg had the most powerful production engine, and in 2004, the most powerful production car (the CCR). In 2005 the CCR model even surpassed the McLaren F1 as the world’s fastest car and made it to the Guinness World Records.

Over the years, Koenigsegg continued to produce fantastic rides we all drooled over. In 2019, the Jesko Absolut arrived at the Geneva International Motor Show as a cherry on top. It was, still is, and will forever be (as Koenigsegg likes to say) the fastest production car from this Swedish brand. It goes without saying — we fell for it immediately.

If you’re equally excited about the Jesko Absolut, one of the fastest cars in the world as well as a daily ride (as much as it may sound ridiculous), stay with us. Today, we reveal what to expect from Koenigsegg’s Jesko Absolut.

The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut Is All About Power And Aerodynamics

We already mentioned that Koenigsegg built the Jesko Absolut to be the fastest car within its lineup (forever). With that goal in mind, the prominent Swedish brand put a lot of emphasis on aerodynamics. Every surface and element on the car was designed to reduce drag and turbulence, increasing stability at higher speeds.

Koenigsegg brags with a drag coefficient value of only 0.278 Cd. Combine that with a small frontal area (1.88 m2) and a power output of 1600 bhp, and you get a wild ride. The Jesko Absolut features a twin-turbocharged V8 engine with the lightest crankshaft in the world (12.5 kg). It outputs 1280 bhp or 1600 bhp on E85 fuel.

How do these specs translate into real life? The brand claims the Jesko Absolut achieves a top speed of around 300 mph, although it can top even 330 mph in the right conditions. How crazy is that? The absolutely even held the title of the fastest car in the world for a while. With such a smooth aerodynamic design, it also may well be one of the most beautiful high-performers currently. The Fastest Koenigsegg Ever Is Also A Beautiful Ride With A Convenient Interior

The Jesko Absolut is a low-profile beauty that reduces drag while staying incredibly appealing to the eye. The extended rear hood, covered rear wheels, and the short front hood all play in favor of aerodynamics but also look very attractive. The Jesko Absolut is simply a smooth and sleek sports car that turns all heads on the road.

Now, Koenigsegg claims the Jesko Absolut can be your daily driver, although we have difficulties imagining someone would drive it to work and back. How do you drive Jesko Absolut without burning the road, anyhow?

In terms of interior, the Jesko Absolut surprises with a full specter of features that ensure comfort and convenience. There are luxury materials in every interior element. The sport bucket seats are light and comfy, and you can adjust them via the SmartCenter touchscreen. The Jesko Absolut also has high-end technology with a range of features accessible within a couple of swipes.

In essence, this Koenigsegg ride offers a pleasant driving experience. The interior is luxurious yet simple and highly practical to help you achieve the best performance on the road. We wouldn’t expect anything less from Koenigsegg.

What To Expect In Terms Of Availability, Price, And Competition

Now to the bad part — the Koenigsegg Jesko was built in only 125 units! The special edition Absolutely only makes a part of the total number, and the worst is yet to come. All units were sold even before the Swedish brand could deliver them. Despite the outrageous price of about $3 million, the 125 Jesko units were sold in no time.

So, if you’re hoping to see this awesome ride at a somewhat affordable price (whatever that may be for such a high performer) or available on sale, we have to disappoint you. We don’t suppose the new owners of the Koenigsegg’s Jesko Absolut will be selling their exceptional rides anytime soon, either. Who would give up one of the fastest and most beautiful cars in the world? But you never know.
