Gordon Murray Automotive (GMA), the British supercar manufacturer founded by McLaren F1 inventor Gordon Murray, is fast approaching the idea of the successor to the T.50 supercar. The new supercar will be known as the T.33, for which GMA had registered a trademark with the Patent And Trademark Office, USA, the year before, and the wrapping will be removed on Jan. 27, the company previously announced.
The car was referred to by GMA as the “GT Super Sports Car”, which means that it would be ideally equipped for the Grand Tour than the T.50. The next supercar is reportedly being fully designed and assembled at the company’s newly built headquarters in Highams Park in Windlesham, Surrey. GMA also teased its new car’s logo with a short video on its Twitter handle.
Although the manufacturer did not disclose details, the car would likely be powered by a 3.9-liter V12 engine developed by Cosworth. Unfortunately, that’s all we know about the latest T.33, but you don’t have to wait long to see it in all its glory. However, Murray has previously indicated that the company will build a second V12-powered vehicle before moving on to a “very noisy” hybridization.
The T.33 platform differs from the T.50 in that it uses Murray’s iStream Carbon approach. It uses two carbon skins embedded between a honeycomb core, which is significantly faster to build than previous methods. The manufacturing innovation first appeared in 2015 at Yamaha Sports Ride Conceptual Design.

The T.50 is likely a typical two-seater, much like Murray’s former McLaren F1, with the pilot in the middle and a seat on either side. The price is likely to be below the $ 3.1 million T.50, of which the manufacturer only produces 100 pieces.

In addition to the expected supercar, GMA is also planning to develop hybrids and possibly electric vehicles. GMA announced the formation of a new subsidiary, Gordon Murray Electronics, in May 2021 to build electrified powertrains and an EV system.
