GB TAEKWONDO UNITED WITH CASTORE

GB Taekwondo has teamed up with British sportswear brand Castore for a deal that extends beyond the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The four-year partnership follows several recent high-profile agreements that Castore has entered into across multiple sports.

The company’s customers now include Premier League clubs Wolverhampton Wanderers and Newcastle United, the McLaren F1 team and England Cricket, as well as Cricket South Africa and the Samoa Rugby Union.

“Partnering with a brand that is so committed to making technically superior garments was non-negotiable,” said Matt Archibald, GB Taekwondo chief executive.

Combine this with the energy, passion and ambition we have seen from the Manchester-based founders and their leadership team and we see a great match with the organizations.

“I was really impressed when I met Castore’s co-founder, Tom Beahon, at the company’s headquarters in Manchester. He showed great interest in Olympic and Paralympic sports and is committed to supporting our athletes in their Paris 2024 campaigns. “

The deal was announced after an exciting year for GB Taekwondo in which five medals were won at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Beahon added, “We were impressed with the passion, drive and dedication of GB Taekwondo and their athletes as we tried on the garments that go perfectly with our Better Never Stops ethos. Not surprisingly, GB Taekwondo continues to thrive in major competitions by seeking minor gains and improvements.

“The next cycle of activity for GB Taekwondo is one that we are excited about and we look forward to seeing both companies continue to deliver high levels of performance and technical excellence in the years to come.”
