How will Porsche manage to enter Formula 1 after the end of negotiations with Red Bull?

The question remains and all heads are now turning to McLaren. Indeed, the association with a major manufacturer is still in Zak Brown’s plans, after the failure of the Honda project. Since then, Woking has gone through Renault and then Mercedes but without having the status of team no. 1 of these manufacturers, who have their own team.

Andreas Seidl, boss of McLaren in F1, knows the VW group and Porsche very well since he managed the program in competition successfully, in WEC and at Le Mans in particular.

Out of the question for him to confirm the slightest discussion with Porsche but he admits that he would like to see Porsche in F1, like Audi (which should associate with Sauber via a takeover).

“To be honest, being in charge of McLaren F1 now, I don’t want to make headlines talking about my past here.

« What can I say? It was a great moment for all the fans to see this great battle between Audi and Porsche, especially at Le Mans. It was great to be part of this era of car racing as well. Sports. »

« If Porsche decides to join F1 as well, which would be another good news for Formula 1, I guess that internal battle would again be something that everyone would be interested in again. »
