First customer-registered McLaren P1 is auctioned

It’s only 3,666 miles from new.

Silverstone Auctions plans to bid for the first customer version of the Supercar McLaren P1 in May. The model was released in a limited edition of 375 pieces.

The copy offered for sale has belonged to a family all along. Despite this fact, the vehicle’s mileage only reaches 3,666 miles. Although the car was purchased in the UK, the steering is on the left as P1 with right hand drive were not made at all.

The super sports car is equipped with a hybrid 3.8-liter V8 engine and an electric motor. The setup generates a total of 916 hp. The torque reaches 978 Nm. The car is equipped with rear-wheel drive. The vehicle accelerates to 60 miles in 2.8 seconds.

The car for sale was made in the colors of Volcano Yellow. In addition, the hybrid system’s battery was changed in 2018. The two-door vehicle was last serviced in 2020.

The McLaren P1 can drive on electric traction only, but a full charge of the batteries is enough for only about 6 miles of movement. In cases where maximum acceleration is required, the batteries can also use up their full charge almost immediately.

But they restore their ability to work quickly enough. If the charging process is carried out at a special station, it takes a little more than 10 minutes, and from a household station it takes no more than two hours. They are also charged while driving and during regenerative braking.

The McLaren F1 is a production supercar from the British car company McLaren Automotive, which was developed in 1989 for the production of cars based on Formula 1 racing cars but suitable for everyday use. Together with the Formula 1 and McLaren Honda teams, McLaren Automotive is part of the McLaren Group, which was founded in 1963 by Ron Dennis.

McLaren P1 features carbon-ceramic disc brakes developed by Akebono. The alloy wheels (19 inches at the front, 20 inches at the rear) are fitted with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.

There are no predictions for the cost of the SupercaFirst customer-registered McLaren P1 Going To Auctionr, but it will most likely sell for more than it will cost new (prices starting at around a million dollars). The call for applications will take place on May 22nd.
