Impressive.

If you ask a gasoline-powered vehicle whether to name their all-time favorite supercars, you will likely mention the Lamborghini Muira, the Ferraro F40, the McLaren F1, the 1985 Countach, or even the Jag XJ220.

Maybe we’re in the process of adding another model to the top tier of truly iconic sports cars.

Ferrari has just released details on a very special Daytona SP3.

At first glance a true work of art. Straight lines meet curves seemingly everywhere, which should be a recipe for disaster, but it really isn’t.

The elegant and precise front section flows seamlessly into what can only be described as a huge rear with full power from its V12 engine.

The Prancing Horse comes with butterfly doors, slim LED headlights that can be lowered similar to the pop-up headlights of yesteryear, and the exterior mirrors have been repositioned on top of the fenders in a clear nod to long-distance racers of the past.

The car has also taken a lot from the F1 side. The seats are integrated into the chassis to save weight and optimize the feel, while the chassis itself is made from carbon fiber composites, including T800 carbon fiber for the tub and T1000 for the doors and sills.

Ferrari will manufacture 599 of the Daytona SP3 and each will cost more than 2 million euros. Unsurprisingly, neither I nor you will get their hands on either of these, for obvious reasons they have already been pre-ordered.
