“I’ve been ready for this for quite some time, ready for the win—it was just a matter of where and when. I have to dedicate this win to my dad—without him, this wouldn’t have been possible. The last few laps were just a case of counting them down and it really was just about enjoying it,” said Lewis after his first win.

To remind fans of Hamilton’s accomplishment in Montreal in 2007, Aston Martin Communications Chief Matt Bishop took to social media to declare the Mercedes driver as one of the all-time greats.

The responses from the fans were fairly positive as the fans agreed with Bishop’s assessment, but they did not agree with him calling Lewis “one of the very greatest we’ve ever seen.”

F1 fans took to social media to declare Lewis Hamilton the GOAT of F1

The British driver’s legions of fans replied to Bishop on his Twitter post. They mentioned that the Mercedes driver is not one of the all-time greats, but the greatest driver of all time. Hamilton’s consistency throughout the years has been really impressive, as he won seven titles and most races in F1.

The Lewis Hamilton army took to social media to declare their driver as the GOAT in Formula One. They even mentioned that the records speak for themselves as they put him above Schumacher and Senna.

He’s an incredible racer and a more incredible man.
8 world championships, virtually every single record broken, a legacy left to F1 and to society, a social conscience and the platform to use it for good, and, seemingly, a damn nice chap.
My admiration for him knows no bounds.

He is the greatest in my opinion. Some might say Michael, some might say Ayrton.

When/if he wins the 8th championship, he will be the greatest and people will still hate on him for whatever reason and he always comes out on top

There are very few pieces of evidence to counter the claims of Hamilton being the greatest. But one can only judge fairly when the British driver stops racing altogether and calls it a day on his Formula One career.
