Formula 1 is a very dangerous sport, as shown by the Bahrain Grand Prix last year, in which Romain Grosjean had a terrible fall. When F1 repeatedly broadcast the crash, Daniel Ricciardo was very vocal about his problems with it. However, Alan Jones, former F1 driver, believes Ricciardo’s comments were stupidly blown up.

The Grosjean crash shocked everyone and Ricciardo made sure his opinion on showing it was heard. The Australian was disgusted that the F1 kept repeating the terrible fall.

Jones said, “The thing that left me a little cold when he started complaining about you repeating Grosjean’s accident, and he exploded so I thought it was just silly.
“If I’m not home and see something on TV that I don’t like, I don’t watch it. OK. He cannot change channels but does not have to see it.
But I think it’s a bit ridiculous to blame the organizers for playing it too much and so on. I mean, that’s the job he’s in, ”he concluded.
The Australian clarifies his statements about the incident in Grosjean
Ricciardo spoke very loudly about how he was feeling and many agreed with him. However, there were some who believed he had gone too far. Ricciardo therefore made it clear what he meant.
As quoted by PlanetF1, Ricciardo said, “I definitely have to be better with my choice of words. If I could take this quote back, I would. It was too aggressive, I should know better as long as I’m in the sport. I should do better with that. “

“I feel like there are better stories to tell than just crashes. Of course that’s my opinion, but I think our sport is better than that. I think we are better than just falling, ”Daniel concluded.
