CALGARY, AB, December 30, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Exro Technologies Inc. (TSX: EXRO) (OTCQB: EXROF) (the “Company” or “Exro”), a clean technology company that has developed a new class of power electronics for electric motors and batteries, announced today announced today that it has partnered with Untitled Motorcycles to demonstrate the benefits of Exro’s patented Coil Driver technology in the award-winning XP Zero electric motorcycle from Untitled Motorcycles.
In forming this partnership, the two companies will work together to incorporate Exro’s 100-volt coil driver technology into limited edition XP Zero electric motorcycles. Exro will provide technology and integration support while leveraging the world-class design and development expertise of Untitled Motorcycles.
“The XP represents a vision of the future of motorcycling, unrestrained by the legacy of soon-to-be-out-of-date technology, making it a natural complement to Exro’s technology,” said Hugo Eccles, Founder and Design Director of Untitled Motorcycles. “We have been working on a racing version of the XP and have a technology partner in Exro who can help us take things to the next level.”
Tests show a 25 percent and 15 percent increase in power and torque, respectively. The XP Zero accelerates from 0 to 100 mph in just 3.7 seconds – faster than a Ferrari F50 or McLaren F1 LM – and currently produces an impressive 140 ftlb of torque, almost twice that of a Ducati Panigale V4R . The modified XP Zero fleet will be increased to an incredible 162 ftlb. “To put it in context, that’s the same torque as a Lotus Exige S, but in a vehicle that’s 1,600 pounds lighter,” said Eccles.
“We are excited to partner with Untitled Motorcycles and expand our work in the electric motorcycle market,” said Sue Ozdemir, CEO of Exro. “The XP Zero is exceptional in looks and performance, and our Coil Driver technology will make the XP even better. This has been a great year for the introduction of electric motorcycles and we are proud to be part of the advancement in the industry. “
The public is invited to a unveiling of the XP Zero motorcycle with Exros Coil Driver technology at CES in Las Vegas. Visit Exros booth number 6019 between 5th and 8th January 2022, for a first look at the new electric motorcycle.
