Fernando Alonso (2007, 2015-18)
Fernando Alonso had four wins at McLaren in a career that included two stops on the team. Neither did very well.
The first time was a one-and-do in 2007. This season, Alonso teamed up with a young Lewis Hamilton. While Alonso won four times, including Monte Carlo, he never really felt himself honored with the # 1 driver role and left the company after a campaign. In fairness to the team, Hamilton and Alonso finished the overall standings with 2-3 points and the same number of points.
Alonso’s second run was a failure in that the two-time F1 champion never reached a podium in 77 races.
