Ed Bolian sells his 15 car collection for “Something Really Crazy”

Ed Bolian sells his 15 car collection for "Something Really Crazy"

Former Cannonball Run record holder and VINwiki founder Ed Bolian announced on Instagram today that he is selling his entire car collection, easily worth seven figures, to fund “something really crazy”. The collection includes highlights like a world-famous Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren (some may call it infamous for being driven by Paris Hilton on a night out in LA with Paris Hilton and Britney Spears), four different Lamborghinis, two Ferraris, a Porsche Cayenne off-road build and more. Once Bolian announced the decision, of course, his huge following stepped in to guess what the potential purchase might actually be, since it would take so many amazing cars to match it.

A whole world-famous collection of cars

The fire sale is happening live on IG right now as Bolian has posted a list of all cars with demand information and asking prices that he apparently will delete when each item is no longer available. His 2007 Ferrari 599 HGTE has already been sold, as has a 2002 Mercedes-Benz S55 AMG. and a 1999 Porsche 911 Carrera with the coveted X51 power pack and factory aero kit. A One-of-12 1985 Audi 4000S Quattro Brock Yates Edition is already on the table, while his wife apparently wants to keep the 2014 Mercedes-Benz GL63 AMG.

He’s asking for $ 190,000 for a 2009 Ferrari 430 Scuderia, $ 110,000 for a flooded 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, $ 475,000 for a 20007 Murcielago LP640, and $ 200,000 for his 2013 Cannonball Run record-breaking Mercedes-Benz CL55 AMG. On the cheaper side, Bolian wants $ 12,000 for a 2002 Mercedes-Benz S55 AMG that won another NY-to-LA race, $ 29,000 for the Cayenne, and $ 65,000 for a TVR Cerbera, the it designated as one of fewer than 20 states imported into the United States.

Britney, Lindsay and Paris in an SLR McLaren

The famous Britney, Paris and Lilo SLR McLaren meanwhile has a sale pending which Bolian claims is, to no great surprise, “above the asking price”. Thanks to the distinctive design and supercharged V8, Bolian was already an amazing car.

The guessing game immediately started with questions about jet fighter and a Pagani Zonda, although most fans seem 100% convinced that the real purchase Bolian needs to buy is Mexican cartel leader El Chapo’s famous missing McLaren F1, the Bolian clearly admitted has been looking. Hopefully he can raise the money and reveal the new purchase soon – he claims to be fair pricing and would eventually know.
