Doug DeMuro would like to teach you about the many quirks of the McLaren Saber

As you’d expect, the Senna’s 795hp horsepower increases by 30hp, meaning the same 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 in the Saber makes 825hp. It may just have a little more power than the Senna, but it’s far less common. While the Senna was produced in 500 copies, there will only be 15 copies of the Saber. In addition, it will only be available in the US, which will take exclusivity to an entirely different level.

You will find that the video is only 15 minutes long which is shorter than most of the Doug DeMuro reviews. Still, Doug goes back and forth and compares the saber with the senna. He points out that this is essentially an upgraded version of the senna, especially in terms of aesthetics. He even says that “it’s clearly a better looking senna”. One of the most notable exterior features is the “fin” or “blade” that connects the center of the roof to the massive rear wing. This aerodynamic element is becoming the latest trend first imposed by the Koenigsegg One: 1.

As always, Doug gets in the car and shows off all of the interior’s “quirks and features”, many of which were borrowed from F1, as well as fighter jets. Below them are the windows. As with the McLaren F1, only a small part of it fails. Numerous switches, including the engine’s start / stop button, are located in a central panel on the roof.

The best thing, of course, is to drive the car.

Doug describes the car as “instantly” because everything happens instantly.

He points out that the Senna’s steering is a bit more precise, but the Saber is said to be a more roadworthy version. Even though Doug has driven many exclusive and crazy vehicles, he’s still impressed with the McLaren Saber, and that alone says a lot. In his words, the driving experience is similar to the outside, as in “It’s like the Senna has been smoothed … refined.”
