CONCORD, NC (WBTV) – From the zMAX Dragway: As fans prepare for the return of the NHRA’s best to the zMAX Dragway this fall, officials announced on Thursday that DEWALT® is sponsoring DEWALT May 17-19 September registered NHRA Carolina Nationals at Bellagio’s drag strips.

DEWALT has a history of sponsoring NASCAR spanning more than two decades and recently announced a partnership to serve as the official tool and storage partner for the McLaren F1 team.

The second race of the seven-event countdown to the championship of the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series promises the drivers cool September temperatures – and thus the potential for track record speeds when the nitro-powered Top Fuel and Funny Car machines, Pro Stock and Pro series motorcycles scorch down the sidewalk of the zMAX Dragway in search of a coveted countdown triumph.
The DEWALT NHRA Carolina Nationals come to life with consecutive qualification days on Friday September 17 and Saturday September 18 preparing a crucial elimination day on Sunday September 19, Pit Pass giving fans unmatched access to the drivers and crews features that tame the 11,000-horsepower machines and close-ups as the teams dismantle and reassemble the dragsters between each run.
