CASTORE ISSUES USA RUGBY ON SIX YEAR CONTRACT

USA Rugby have announced a long-term partnership with British sportswear retailer Castore.

Under the deal, which runs for six years to 2027, Castore will act as the official apparel partner of the rugby union.

Headquartered in Manchester, the company will supply sportswear and kits for USA Rugby’s men’s and women’s Eagles teams, as well as all youth national teams.

The players will wear kits produced by Castore from Spring 2022, with additional designs set to be released for the 2022 Rugby World Cup Sevens tournament and the postponed 2021 Women’s Rugby World Cup, which will take place in September.

USA Rugby has become Castore’s second national rugby team following the sportswear supplier’s deal with Samoa Rugby. Castore has partnerships with Saracens, tennis star Sir Andy Murray, swimming champion Adam Peaty, Newcastle United FC, England Cricket and McLaren F1 among others.

“We are delighted to partner with another national rugby union team in USA rugby,” said Pascal Lafitte, Director of Partnerships at Castore.

“The USA has been evolving rapidly in recent years, much like Castore, and we look forward to giving their fans something different to celebrate ahead of the Rugby World Cups in 2022, 2023 and beyond.”

Ross Young, CEO of USA Rugby added: “This partnership is an exciting start to a new year and a new chapter for USA Rugby. As we continue to grow on the world stage, we look forward to having a partner who not only offers a compelling portfolio of design technology, but also believes in investing in the growth of American rugby for years to come.”
