Castore announces new partnership with Cricket South Africa

Cricket South Africa (CSA) has announced Castore as its official apparel partner for the next three years.

The agreement grants Castore exclusivity as the official clothing partner of team equipment and products for CSA, its teams, employees and players as well as the official merchandising partner of CSA. The contract runs from October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2024.

The partnership further strengthens Castore’s presence in the cricket space as the West Indies are already being supplied by Castore and England Cricket, which were recently announced starting April 2022.

It is the first step from Castore to South Africa, a nation they consider a key market as they love not only cricket but the sport in general.

The announcement builds on existing partnerships Castore has with McLaren (F1), Rangers, Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers, among others.

Castore has worked with several British athletes including Andy Murray, Owen Farrell, Jos Buttler and Adam Peaty

The full range of gear is made from unique engineering fabrics exclusively developed by Castore to ensure lighter, more flexible and more durable gear than anything the team has ever worn before, ensuring that performance will last through a long and busy cricket season is of the highest quality.

Pholetsi Moseki, CSA Deputy Managing Director, said: “It is a great pleasure for me to have Castore on board in our team of sponsors and suppliers.”

“Castore is one of the big players in the world of sportswear and is involved worldwide with sports codes as diverse as Formula 1, cycling, soccer, athletics and swimming.

“As we all know, most of the international cricket nowadays is played in the Asian subcontinent and its surrounding areas where climatic conditions are extremely difficult and it is important that our players have the most comfortable clothing so that they can compete at the optimal level.

Tom Beahon, Founder of Castore commented, “It is a great honor for us as a brand to add a team like Cricket South Africa’s Proteas to our wide range of teams and athletes, and we are excited to see where the partnership will take us. The T20 World Cup is the perfect prelude to our partnership, an exciting, future-oriented concept that is still in its early years and where entertainment is omnipresent. “
