It’s the start of a new year, which also means the start of a new spring season in Forza Horizon 4. Players working on their virtual New Year’s resolutions can complete Series 43 with one final batch of rewards before the next series begins.
Modern supercars and an iconic classic form the first rewards of 2022, as well as other prizes for completing the spring playlist 50% and 80%.
New year, more power
There are no cars to win for the Spring Graduation Awards, but you can grab an elven outfit for your avatar if you’re still in the holiday mood. A little easier is a Horizon Backstage Pass, which you can use to start the year off by adding more exclusive cars to your collection.
The Spring Photo Challenge takes you back to the first house you buy at the festival. #HouseWarming wants you to snap every car you drive over at The Gables on Broadway. The spring championship prizes include the extreme Koenigsegg Jesko and the 2017 Ford GT.
One prize worth pursuing is the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO. The 250 GTO is widely considered to be the best car Maranello ever built and has become one of the most valuable cars in the world. Approved for GT racing, the GTO has had an extremely successful career.
With only 33 copies, each was unique due to its handcrafted construction. The 250 GTO is powered by a 3.0-liter V12 with a respectable 300 hp. Although the driving experience will be old-school through and through, the GTO needs to be driven to the limit to really get the best out of it.
To get the Ferrari, you must win the Sparkle into New Year championship.
There’s a recurring showcase remix that’s slated to bring in 2022 as well. “Contest of Giants” puts you in a rugged Chevrolet Colorado pickup for a race through the Scottish Highlands against a huge hovercraft.
Start the New Year with a fresh new set of Super7 cards. If you complete all seven, you will get a Rossion Q1 in your garage.

Forzathon events
Forzathon turns Japanese this week, while the spotlight is on the 1992 Honda NSX Type R. Get into this revered machine to start things.
Next, put your foot down and bring the NSX to a top speed of 275 mph. Then prove the Honda’s handling holds up today by winning three Road Racing Series sprint events.
Complete the latest weekly challenges by soaring through the skies for a total of 10 aerial skills.
Forzathon shop
This week’s shop lineup is an Anglo-French affair, led by the 2019 Mclaren Speedtail.
Aside from the Senna in McLaren’s Ultimate Series range, the Speedtail takes a different approach by delivering tremendous performance in a great touring package.
The Speedtail’s 4.0-liter V8 with twin turbocharging is linked to a hybrid system and develops 1,035 hp. Coupled with the slippery bodywork, the Speedtail’s top speed of 250 mph makes it the fastest, most powerful McLaren ever. The design and interior of the Speedtail echo the spirit of the McLaren F1 Longtail, including the central driving position.
You will need big savings as the Mclaren will give you 599 Forzathon points, but in return you will get a very British way of entering the 250mph club.
If you’re looking for speed for the racetrack, there’s the 2008 Renault Megane R26.R.
This extreme hot hatch rejected everyday usability in the pursuit of racetrack performance. Thanks to a stripped-down interior, carbon fiber panels and a roll cage, the R26.R loses over 270 pounds when compared to a base Renault Sport Megane.
The performance of the 2.0-liter turbo engine remains unaffected by the standard car, with the most important optimizations aimed at handling. Regardless of this, the unleashing of all 227 hp will be much more lively thanks to the tougher track characteristics of the R26.R.
The Renault will also cost you 599 FP, but for tearing up winding roads in the UK there is likely no other hot hatch that can get the job done faster.
New this week are the horns Halo Warthog and Cash Register.
